Pivot3 Serverless Computing is an enhancement to Pivot3's award-winning RAIGE storage architecture where computer resources are consolidated into the Pivot3 storage hardware platform for dramatic reductions in power, cooling, rack space and cost. The product integrates server and storage virtualization technologies to deliver consolidation benefits to customers that might not ordinarily consolidate servers.
Pivot3 RAIGE software aggregates the capacity and performance of the Cloudbank appliances, presents a single logical management view, supports dynamic expansion of the array and protects against any hardware failures.
Each Cloudbank has the capability to run Windows and one application in addition to the Pivot3 RAIGE software. This allows each Cloudbank to contribute both compute and storage resources to the array.
